As you know since you are
here, we have our very own Web site. This will make our Reunion 2002
communications that much easier.
Dick
Gigon, the only two-time All American in Lehigh soccer history, has been
enshrined in the Lehigh Athletics Hall of Fame. During his illustrious
three year career, Dick scored 35 of Lehigh's 73 goals. He also earned
three varsity letters in baseball as a shortstop.
I received a wonderful letter
from John Kerr, M.D., a Sigma Nu buddy of
longstanding. (Notice I didn't say "old"). John is on the
50' Reunion Fund Committee and is recently retired after 40 years as a
physician. He and Mims will stay in Devon, Pa., at least for the time
being, to be near their five grandchildren and to allow John to stay involved
with "a couple of civic board type appointments. I'm in hopes that
Mims and John will come visit the Morans in Arizona. No,
John, you don't
have to break 90 to be allowed into Arizona!
Another newsy letter from Mary
Jo Johnston, Allison Park, Pa., reports a second annual Beta Reunion - a nice
warm up for our 50th reunion. In attendance were Henry
"Doc" Adams, Ann and Bill Barney,
Ruth and Bob Ellis,
Judy and Fred
Gartside,
Bob Homing,
Mary Jo and
Jim Johnston,
Tess and Fred
Kieshauer and John Kimerer. See
you all in Bethlehem in June 2002. Many thanks, Mary Jo.
I will conclude this edition
by saying that the next column will bring the class "up to speed," on
the latest 50th Reunion (2002) news. Thanks for all your news the and good
will; remember, your contribution make the column.
