Fall,2007 Alumni Bulletin - He was a retired engineer at Grumman Aerospace . Survivors: Wife, Lillian; four sons; eight grandchildren.

Neil C. Randall, Gwynedd, Pa., July 12, 2019. Mr. Randall was a Delta Sigma Phi brother as well as a member of the Interfraternity Council and Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honor societies.  He worked for Philco and Delta Information Systems his entire career.  He was also a member of the Asa Packer and Tower societies. - Fall 2019 Alumni Bulletin.

From Summer, 2015, Alumni Bulletin - Neil recently attended a Lehigh Alumni Club meeting along with John Kerr (deceased), Ralph Fortney, Robert Kiesling, Ed Purdy (deceased), Richard Schaphorst, and George Young (deceased).

From Winter 2010 Alumni Bulletin - Bob Flynn (deceased) saw Neil and Dick Schaphorst at the Villanova game.  For many years, Neil and Dick worked together in Philly, sidestepped a corporate move to California, and then formed their own high‑tech company and prospered.

James Reed April 5, 2020 From 2021 Spring alumni Bulletin:  James C. Reed '52, Los Angeles, Calif., April 5, 2020. Bill Murray (deceased) wrote that Jim is still working as a Financial Advisor for somebody in Los Angeles - May 2019 From Fall 2015 Alumni Bulletin - Bill Murray (deceased) phoned in June to say he had been in California visiting his son, who graduated from law school in San Diego.  Bill mentioned contact with Jim Reed, Pete Sanford (No record of him as '52 graduate) and Bob Gradoska (No record of him as '52 graduate).

From Winter 2011 Alumni Bulletin:  Elmer E. Reese '52, Savannah, Ga., Aug. 29, 2010.  He had a long career with General Motors and retired as general manager of the General Motors Packard Electrical Division.  He held 20 patents during his career in the automotive components field.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Elmer Edward Reese, 82, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, in Memorial University Medical Center, Savannah, Ga., with family by his side.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre in 1928 on St. Patrick's Day to the late Clemens and Mary Reese. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Lois Helen Hartley Reese.

While attending Coughlin High School, he was a star pitcher on the baseball team.  After high school, he played the trumpet in the Air Force. Following two years' service in the Air Force, Elmer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University.  He completed executive training programs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ohio State University and Harvard Business School.

Elmer became a trainee in 1952 with Delco Appliance Division, Rochester, N.Y., and senior project engineer in 1958.  Advancing to product manager for windshield wiper systems, he was transferred to the General Motors Delco Products Division, Dayton, Ohio, where he became staff engineer for auto electrical products.  In 1970, he was named chief engineer of Delco Products Division, and in 1973 was advanced to general sales manager.  He was later transferred to Delco Remy Division, Anderson, Ind., and held the position of chief engineer until named general manager on Sept. 1, 1978.  In 1982, he was named general manager of Packard Electrical Division, Warren, Ohio, from which he retired in 1989.  During his career, Elmer received more than 20 patents for automotive components.  A quote from Elmer: "Do it right the first time, every time."

Elmer and Lois retired to The Landings on Skidaway Island, Ga., in 1990.  He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Robin Reese, Fort Collins, Colo.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and John Smith, Springboro, Ohio; Cathy and Mark Jefferson, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Jamie and Blair Carmosino, Noblesville, Ind.  He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy (Sara) Reese, Justin (Jennifer) Reese, Jessie Reese, Steven (Lori) Smith, Brad (Megan) Smith, Kasey (Brandon) Armstrong, Kyle and Matthew Jefferson, Michael, Sophia, and Amanda Carmosino; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Bobbie Stallings.

The family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Hospital and all his friends at The Marshes at Skidaway Island, Ga., for their support and compassion.  A private family memorial service will be held later in the year in Florida.  Remembrances may be made to the Arthritis Foundation .

June 2001 - Spent 37 years with General Motors.  Retired in 1990 as General Manager of Packard Electric Division and Vice-President of General Motors.  Spent time in Rochester, N.Y., Dayton, Ohio, Anderson, Ind. and Warren, Ohio.  Retired and now live on Skidaway Island, a barrier island outside of Savannah, Georgia.

Donald A. Regar, Charlottesville, Va., Dec. 27,2011.  Mr. Regar served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He worked as an engineering manager for 35 years for Westinghouse Electric Corp.

From 50th Reunion Book, 2002 - After serving 30 months in the U.S. Navy as an electronics instructor, I enrolled at Lehigh University in 1948.  Upon graduation, I accepted a job with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and was assigned to the graduate student program.  The Westinghouse Transformer Division subsequently offered me a position as manufacturing engineer.  Early in my career, I was selected to participate in a year-long program with the Ford Motor Company to learn automation techniques used in the auto industry.  In 1967, I was appointed manager of a team responsible for planning, building and equipping a factory to manufacture small power transformers.  The completed facility was chosen by the editors of Factory Magazine as one of the 10 best plants built in 1968.  In 1985, I won an award for outstanding contributions to Westinghouse.  I hold one patent.  When I retired in 1987, I was Manager of Facilities Engineering and Reliability with responsibility for plants in Virginia, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

My wife, Nancy, and I have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.  We look forward to celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in 2002.

A  straight "A" student

An associate registrar at Lehigh, he retired in 1991 after 39 years of service.  Survivor: Sister.

Edward Ruestow

Edward H. Ruestow Jr. '52, Bloomfield, Conn., Aug. 13, 2017.  As a student. Mr. Ruestow wrestled and played football.  He was also a Chi Psi brother.  As an alumnus, he volunteered for his class.  He was the longtime owner of Clapp & Treat, Inc., a sporting goods store.  He was a member of the Tower Society.

Ed Ruestow writes: Thanks for latest news.  I'm sure Walt Pullar (deceased) is pleased he is no longer deceased.  Those wishing to confirm this fact may wish him well on October 15th when the 1950 football team is honored on the 55th anniversary of their undefeated season.  Walt plans on attending. – October 2005

From Fall 2006 Alumni Bulletin:  Charles H. Rutkowski .  He retired from the Rome State School.  He had also worked at Drop Forge Tool.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  Survivors: Wife; Eleanor; three daughters; three sons, stepdaughter; twelve grandchildren; three great‑grandchildren.
