			Scripture:
			Proverbs 3:5-6
(NLT) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on
your own understanding, seek his will in all you do and He will show
			you which path to take.”

			Message:
Dictionary meaning of trust: “to believe that someone is good and
honest and will not harm you, or that something is safe and
reliable”.  Trust is one of the hardest human tasks given to us by
our God and our Redeemer.  Human nature wants us to be independent,
without outside influences, and surely “not” with God to take us
down the righteous path.  I don’t know about you, but over my entire
life, I have been taught independence.  My parents wanted me to
succeed as they taught me how to live on my own, as an independent
			member of society.

			This Scripture conflicts with my
upbringing.  God has always been a part of my life.  Sometimes more
remote (not because of Him, but because of me) than He should have
been.  But teaching independence may conflict with our dependence on
our Creator.  My upbringing was based on church attendance, the Ten
Commandants, an understanding of the life of Jesus and what He did
for our salvation on the cross and His resurrection.

The thought that our daily decisions
should be brought to our Lord was not part of how I remember my
Christian background.  As I have matured, my faith journey is
bringing me closer to salvation, and now my praises and decisions
are handed to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It is unfortunate that I have taken
this long to Trust in The Lord, but I thank Him for this
awakening!!!!!!  Every day I praise Him for His creation, what He
has done for me, and ask Him to guide me in the right direction to
			choose His path for salvation.

			Prayer:

Lord, help me to stop my daily decision making until I have prayed
to you for the right path forward.  I am weak and depend on myself
way too often in both the small things that occur in my life and the
big things that can impact my relationship with You.  I am committed
to looking to You for guidance in all that I do.  Help me keep that
commitment so that my life follows the path that you have designed
to support the glory that is only Yours.  Amen.
