Class correspondents, a peculiar breed, are always looking for news.  We often correspond with each other and as a result. Don Williams, class correspondent for 1950, sends along news that Kay and Bill Bloomfield (Note:  Bill is listed as "Lost" as we have no address or e-mail for him) and Marvel and Dick Evans visit Nantucket, Mass., every summer.  Don Beck e‑mails from Haddonfield, N.J., that he and his wife, Carol, Cedar Crest '52, have been married for 55 years, retired 11, and have four children and eight grandchildren.  Don sees Bill Smith weekly at the Retired Men's Club, and Don is also active in the American Legion and is a weekly volunteer on the battleship USS New Jersey.

It is with a great sorrow that I announce the passing of Wil Wilbern - Bill Murray, of Sugarland, Texas, called me with the news in early 2008.  Wil was a friend and a true Son of Lehigh.  He rarely missed a reunion or a football game.  After high school, Wil entered the Air Force and worked for 10 years in order to save enough money to enter Lehigh in 1948.  After graduating with an I.E. degree, Wil spent 31 years in the smelting business with Union Carbide.  He became known as the father of process computer control of electric smelting furnaces.  Wil  spent most of his career in places like Norway, Brazil, Germany, England, Canada, and South Africa and spoke five languages.  About two years ago, Wil suffered a stroke and spent his last days in managed care in Virginia.  Wil , God bless you.  You are missed.

That's it for this edition. If you have any news of the class, I'd appreciate your sending it along.
